A grown-up brother and sister's visit to their parents home culminates in a shocking tragedy. The events of the weekend are told over four episodes, each focusing on the point of view of one family member: the daughter Terry; the father, Ted; the son, Alan and finally the mother, Sarah. The full story of the dysfunctional family plays out through the use of repeating scenes, flashback, and monologue.

An iron-willed Georgia boy accepts the burden of a man on his young shoulders. Fifteen-year-old Terry O'Kelly is fatherless and his remaining parent, his mother, is dying. Anguished, the soon-to-be orphan makes a surprising grown-up decision: Terry promises to care for his six brothers and vows to keep the family together. Steadfast to his word, Terry takes on the struggles of parenthood, which yields some difficult and unpleasant surprises.

Bun-Yi is sold to a bar for her widowed mother and young sister. There, she meets Dal-Jung and through his arrangement, she gets married into the rural rich Choi family as the wife of the youngest son. She lives as if she were housemaid looking after her mentally deficient husband Young-Ku, parents-in-law, and sister-in-law, and gives birth to a precious son. But she is driven out of the house because of mother-in-law and sister-in-law's evil plot. Going around from restaurants to restaurants, she becomes a owner of a restaurant and lives helping the poor children. Later, she comes to meet Young-Ku working as a shoe shining man in Busan. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law regret their faults in past and Bun-Yi regains their old house. Thus, all of them return to their hometown and live a happy life.

Stranger With A Camera is a 2000 documentary film by director Elizabeth Barret investigating the circumstances surrounding the 1967 death of Hugh O'Connor. Barret, who was born and raised in the region, explores questions concerning public image and the individual's lack of power to define oneself within the American media landscape. By contrasting multiple perspectives from locals and O'Connor's film crew, Barret weaves a tale of a complexly motivated crime with an insightful exploration of how the media affects the communities it chronicles. The film premiered at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival and later aired on the PBS series P.O.V.
